Many multi-academy trusts (MATs) get staff to work across schools, or move between schools. Read on for advice on how to manage this - whether it's moving around on a day-to-day basis or moving someone to a new role in another school.

Check your contracts

Some MATs issue contracts which also say that the staff member can be redeployed at other schools as required by the MAT.

You should look at the staff member’s contract to see whether it says that they can be instructed or asked to move to another institution.
